
A meeting, with the representatives of the UK relevant agencies, on Counter Terrorism and Counter Extremism was held at the NSC Office

The representatives of the National Security Council’s Office held the meeting with the colleagues from the British Embassy and the relevant UK agencies on Counter Terrorism and Counter Extremism.
Acting Head of the National Security Council’s Office, Sergo Turmanidze informed UK colleagues on the mandate and main functional responsibilities of the Office. He elaborated on the institutional framework of Georgia in the field of Counter Terrorism and Counter Extremism, as well as the functions and responsibilities of relevant agencies. The respective conceptual and legislative base was also addressed at the meeting.
The parties agreed on cooperation, in the security field, and the relevant strands of action.
