A Memorandum of Understanding between the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia and the Secretariat General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye was signed
22 June 2023The Head of the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia, Givi Tumanishvili, and the Secretary General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye, Governor Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia and the Secretariat General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye.
The purpose of the Memorandum is deepening friendly relations and cooperation between the two agencies in the field of security.
The Memorandum envisages to enhance cooperation on national and international security issues; Conducting consultations and exchange views on security issues at various levels; Organizing working visits, workshops, meetings of experts and other forms of institutional collaboration and sharing of experience.
Another meeting was held at the National Security Council’s Office between the Head of the NSC Office, Givi Tumanishvili and the Secretary General of the Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye, Governor Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbay, the representatives of Georgian NSC Office and the members of the Turkish delegation.
At the meeting the parties discussed the existing cooperation and future initiatives and opportunities of cooperation in the field of security between the two agencies.
