Acting Head of the NSC Office participated, as a speaker, in the webinar on countering hybrid threats
16 June 2021Acting Head of the National Security Council’s Office, Sergo Turmanidze participated, as a speaker, in the webinar - “30 Years of Independence, Countering Old Hybrid Threats in New Forms”.
In his speech, Sergo Turmanidze elaborated on the hybrid threats facing Georgia and the region. In addition, he focused on the activities, implemented by the NSC’s Office, in the context of countering hybrid threats and the ongoing reforms coordinated by the Office. The importance of deepening cooperation with international partners, in terms of countering hybrid threats, and the relevant strands of action were underlined at the meeting.
The virtual meeting was coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and supported by the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats.
The webinar was attended, together with the representative of the NSC’s Office, by the representatives of the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats, the Foreign Ministries of Finland and Georgia, Information Center on NATO and EU and the Defence Institution Building School.
