Exercises on election-related cybersecurity issues were held
7 October 2020With the coordination of the NSC Office and support of the Council of Europe and the European Union, exercises on election-related cybersecurity issues were held.
The trainings were organized in three phases and they included strategic, as well as technical level exercises.
Representatives of relevant agencies, responsible for cybersecurity and electoral process, participated in the trainings. At the same time, the exercises took place with the active involvement of the representatives of Georgian internet service providers (ISPs).
The exercises were aimed at ensuring cybersecurity at the 2020 parliamentary elections and preventing the respective cyber threats. The trainings were held within the framework of online sessions, as well as at the National Situation Room operated by the NSC Office.
The exercises were conducted within the framework of the “CyberEast” and “CyberSecurity EAST” projects implemented by the Council of Europe and the EU.
