Head of the National Security Council Office held an online meeting with the representative of the U.S. Department of Commerce
10 December 2020Within the framework of a virtual visit of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe and Eurasia, at the U.S. Department of Commerce, David S. De Falco, an online meeting was held with the Head of the Office of the National Security Council, Kakhaber Kemoklidze.
Ongoing strategic projects, elaborated with the coordination of the NSC Office, were discussed at the meeting. In this context, a particular attention was paid to the reform in the field of critical infrastructure protection (CIP).
The parties further discussed investment screening mechanisms and the process of developing a modern investment screening system in Georgia.
Kakhaber Kemoklidze stressed the support, provided by the U.S. Embassy in this process, and thanked the US side for its respective efforts.
The online meeting was attended by the representatives of the Office of the National Security Council, U.S. Departament of State and Department of Commerce.
