Head of the Office of the National Security Council, Kakhaber Kemoklidze held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Georgia Kai Kaarelson.
The parties discussed the role of the National Security Council and existing security environment in the region. Particular attention was paid to the challenges, facing the country in the cybersecurity field, and to the readiness for future cooperation.
At the meeting, Kakhaber Kemoklidze reviewed current developments in occupied regions, emphasized the threats related to ever increasing militarization on the ground, and the existing severe humanitarian situation in the occupied Akhalgori district.
During the meeting, the parties underlined that the support rendered by the international community, through clear messages towards relevant actors, is of vital importance for Georgia in countering the above-mentioned challenges.
