Kakhaber Kemoklidze participated in the discussions held within the framework of the seventh round of the Wardrop Strategic Dialogue
10 September 2020The Head of the Office of the National Security Council, Kakhaber Kemoklidze participated in the discussions held within the framework of the seventh round of the Georgia-UK Wardrop Strategic Dialogue.
In the opening session, dedicated to the Foreign Policy, Security and Defence Pillar, Kakhaber Kemoklidze presented the review of the existing regional security environment, and elaborated on the strategic vision on the notion of Black Sea security. At the same time, the topic of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration was referred to, together with the expectations connected with the Wardrop Strategic Dialogue.
The thematic session of the videoconference (security cooperation) was held under the co-chairmanship of Kakhaber Kemoklidze and British Ambassador to Georgia, Mark Clayton.
In his statement, Kakhaber Kemoklidze placed an emphasis on the matters connected with hybrid threats, cybersecurity and combating disinformation.
The thematic session, held in the course of the Wardrop Strategic Dialogue, took place with the additional representation of the employees of the NSC Office, the State Security Service of Georgia and particular UK institutions.
