Seminar on Preparedness Planning and Evaluation of Emergency Response was held in NSC Office
10 June 2021With the coordination of the National Security Council’s Office, within the framework of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP), a two-day seminar on Preparedness Planning and Evaluation of Emergency Response was held.
Training was led by Ulrik Keller and Morten Kruckow Velling, the representatives of the Emergency Management Agency of the Kingdom of Denmark, a leading country in the implementation of the SNGP Crisis Management Initiative.
The Director of the National Crisis Management Center (Department) of the National Security Council’s Office, Giorgi Ghibradze opened the meeting with the welcoming remarks. Giorgi Ghibradze reviewed current crisis management system of Georgia, the action plan for the implementation of the Crisis Management Initiative within the framework of SNGP as well as future activities. he Danish colleagues shared the Danish experience and the best practice in the field of crisis management with the participants of the meeting. The Comprehensive Preparedness Planning (CPP) Guide was also discussed at the seminar.
Representatives of relevant agencies - the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs as well as the representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture took part in the meeting.
