
Head of NSC Office met with the members of Foreign Advisory Group

Head of the Office of the National Security Council, Givi Tumanishvili held an introductory meeting with the permanent members of the Foreign Advisory Group to the NSC Office: UK Special Defence Advisor Claire Avison, U.S. Defence Advisor Michael Masley, SNGP Core Team Leader Norbert Hess and NATO Military Liaison Officer Rusen Abidinoglu.
Givi Tumanishvili introduced to the Advisory Group main directions of activities and future plans of the NSC Office. He emphasized importance of intensive and effective cooperation with the Advisory Group.
During the meeting, parties discussed the issues of strengthening efficiency of the role and activities of the NSC Office. The particular attention was paid to the importance of interagency cooperation enhancement.
A Foreign Advisory Group was set up at the National Security Council’ Office aimed at supporting national security policy planning and coordination process at the strategic level. The Group provides advices and recommendations to the Office on national security, regional security and defence issues, the development of national-level conceptual documents and interagency cooperation formats.
The representatives of the NSC Office also attended the meeting.
