
Head of the NSC Office held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Germany

The Head of the National Security Council’s Office, Givi Tumanishvili, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia, H.E. Ernst Peter Fischer.
Givi Tumanishvili introduced the structure and the main working areas of the NSC Office including the ongoing projects and drafting process of the national level conceptual documents coordinated by the NSC Office.
At the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of security between the NSC office and the Embassy of Germany in Georgia and agreed on deepening the relationship in this direction.
The security environment in the Region and the current security challenges were also discussed at the meeting. The Ambassador underlined that Germany supports Georgia on the way of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The meeting was attended by the Defence Attaché, Andreas Sebald, the Deputy Head Chief of Staff of the NSC Office, Giorgi Ghibradze, and Heads of departments of the Council's Office.
