
The Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ramil Usubov visited Georgia

On the invitation by the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ramil Usubov, paid a two-day visit to Georgia.
Within the framework of the visit, Ramil Usubov held the meetings with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, the Secretary of the National Security Council/ Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri and the Minister of Defence, Irakli Chikovani.
At the meeting with the Georgian Prime Minister, the parties discussed matters pertaining to the bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The importance of stability and lasting peace in the region was underlined at the meeting. The conversation touched on the strong strategic partnership between the countries alongside regional projects.
The Head of Government thanked the Azerbaijani side for its unwavering support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. In addition, Georgia's strong support for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan was pointed out.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the National Security Council, the Minister of Internal affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri.
Within the framework of the meeting with the Secretary of the Security Council of Georgia, the parties discussed the importance of deepening cooperation in the field of security between the relevant structures of the two countries. Current topics in the field of security were also discussed.
The Minister of Defence of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, paid attention to the importance of the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia trilateral cooperation format and mentioned that Georgia would host the tripartite defence ministerial meeting this year.
The Azerbaijani guest, within the framework of the visit, laid the wreaths at the memorial of the heroes fallen in the fight for Georgia's unity and the Statue of Heydar Aliyev.
